| Stayed at Panba for 4 nights (2 before and 2 after tiger leaping gorge), and can't wait to go back. great for the solo traveler as it's not a huge place, but very cozy and easy to hook up with other travelers.
very clean (a bit of a musty smell in our room but everything was clean) and super amazing staff. the staff dinner was a great first evening after a rainy day the movie selection isn't great but a few goodies. helpful with getting around town and out of town (renting bikes, getting to TLG, etc) stay here!!  |

| From Graham and Steve who enjoyed a fantastic time at Panba in late June 2010. The two bed room was brilliant. Fantastic balcony overlooking Lijiang and the mountains. The trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge was spectacular.
A special thanks to 'River' who organised everything and kept the cheese sandwiches coming - all with an everlasting smile. Brilliant. 谢谢 |

Great memories from Lijiang

| The Panba Courtyard Guesthouse was the perfect homebase for exploring picturesque Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, and take a trip to Shangri La (aka Zhongdian aka Gyalthang) and get a true taste of Tibet. The manager, highly knowledgeable Ba Mai and her sister and fellow employees did their utmost to make this experience an unforgettable one. If I ever find my way back to Lijiang, there is no better place I can think of to stay. |
